Whiplash Wednesdays is a weekly nightlife series at The Rail that centers drag performance first, followed by a high-energy dance party. Designed as a midweek staple, the event highlights drag as the foundation of the night while keeping the dance floor active well into the evening.

Each week features drag performances beginning at 8:00 PM, followed by a DJ-led party after the show. Whiplash Wednesdays regularly serves as the official after-party for rotating featured drag productions, including For the Drag of It, Drag Court, and Cream Queens Comedy Show, creating a consistent home for San Diego’s drag community to gather, celebrate, and continue the night together.

Drink specials are offered throughout the evening, with early and late-night well specials adding to the accessibility of the event.
