Now That’s R&B is The Rail’s premier monthly R&B nightlife event presented by S.D. Melanin (SD Melanin), a community-focused organization curating cultural experiences and social gatherings for Black and BiPOC professionals in San Diego and beyond. Founded in 2017, SD Melanin has produced hundreds of events that celebrate music, community, culture, and connection.

Now That’s R&B brings all your favorite R&B hits — new and old, slow jams and danceable grooves — to life on the dance floor. The event is built around an atmosphere of soulful music, great energy, and vibrant nightlife, making it a standout monthly gathering for fans of R&B music, dancing, and social connection.
